2007 GREETING CARDS & FAMILY PORTRAIT - CONTEMPORARY & CLASSIC CANDID

Dear Yoti:

Thank you for giving my family the absolute best photography experience ever!  We are a family that sends over 300 Christmas cards annually.  Every year we try something unique and different.  We have had photographers tell us they were fashion photographers in New York.  We think have hired the photographer that can capture that uniqueness.

We expressed our vision of a flip flop Christmas.  Not an easy concept but we tried to convey it.  The end result, a picture of my family in scarves and flip flops.  We have had  an artistic director and renowned photographer from Chicago come to photograph our family at the beach.  The end result: an early morning to late afternoon (from 5am to 1 p.m.), tired kids  and an okay picture.   But we never imagined that the best photographer was sitting right here in our back yard!!!  The one we will use for years to come. 

Thank you for the pre-consultation.  We assumed that this session was an opportunity for you to tell us about you and the studio and not really hear our vision.  However, when we sat down, we really learned that you have that something – that je ne sais quois – that translates into passion about your work.  You heard our idea- tattoo the kids and make them look really bad and then on the inside have a picture of them looking really presentable- our Naughty or Nice concept.  You were just as excited as we were.  And you got it!  You gave us more ideas and more creativity.  You got it!

Then on the day of our session, to borrow a line from a movie, “you had us at hello!”  You didn’t rush but you knew what we wanted.  You felt it and you captured it.  When we saw just one sample shot, we knew what was in our heads was in your heart.  And you nailed it.  What was even more impressive is that you got three little kids under the ages of 7 to take the best picture.  In the past, we have spent hours on top of hours with photographers who don’t know how to work with kids.  Within 3 minutes (literally three minutes- I am a mother and an accountant), our kids were calling you Uncle Yoti.  You had me.

Lastly, the deal sealer was the presentation of our pictures.   Wow!  We watched a movie of our family and our vision come to life.  It was fun looking at pictures.  Normally it takes forever to look at each picture; but with your “secret recipe” it was perfect.  And thanks for making us look flawless, younger, and bolder!

And to top it all off, most people including our family, are intimidated to visit a professional photography, especially one who has won photographer of the year for the state of California because we assume it is going to be expensive and beyond our affordability.  But you were reasonably priced and less than we anticipated.

We have a family doctor, a family dentist and now a family photographer.
